live 8 midi hickups / amt8 / hardware studio / snow leopard

Post by P9vyQ9Ev » Sun Nov 08, 2009 11:44 pm

hi everyone,

i'm having this issue which is quite annoying. Just purchased Live 8. i have a hardware studio connected to an AMT8 interface which in patch mode runs tightly with my RS7000 and other hardware.
If i load the midi file, assign the machines and play the sequence in live 8 i notice slight inconsistent little hickups that come and go. So far there is no audio involved but i can't record audio with this issue because i will loose the whole organic feel of the track if it doesn't play straight. I can't have a bunch of strange timing loops as a set or track.

A question that came up was if Ableton has a maximum of midi notes it can play?
Nevertheless my sequences are not so different than any other modern musical styles

Strangly my companion has the same issue. Unlike me he doesn't have snow leopard installed.

I've tried a few things but as far as i remember i didn't have this issue in live 7. I came across more posts elsewhere about midi , latencies etc but i wanted to give it a shot on this forum.

Just updated to Live 8.0.9 but didn't come across the fixed bugs.
I would really appreciate If anyone could be of help.
Greetings from Holland.
