I'm a big fan of the evolution uc-33e. It's small, cheap, light, loaded w/ knobs and sliders, and looks cool in the dark.

I use the evolution x-session and i think it rocks, it runs off the usb power, has a nice bright display, and it's cheap too!

The behringer stuff needs some slightly better programming before it works seamlessly with live, once set it's the beez kneez in it's price range.

Sturdy (i dont care what anyone says, I can hurt people with this)
Functional (very)
14bit values!!! SMOOTH!
Interactive (lights indicating where settings are at)

I think i'll buy one of those, is it built to last ? Are the knobs big enough ? Is it worth the price ?

IMHO the faderfox modules appear overpriced to me.

That's what I have and it rocks. It's only $99 from musicians friend, powered off the USB port, and provides another set of MIDI ports.

Although I have to admit that UC-33e looks really nice too!

i have a korg micro kontrol which is pretty cool. I also use a nostromo game pad which i use to trigger scenes and to open songs with one touch of a button - no mouse needed
