APC40 Device Control

Post by stringtapper » Wed Sep 16, 2009 4:17 am

So I've noticed that the device control knobs are picking up a couple of parameters in my patch but I can't seem to find a method to the madness. Anyone know how we can tell which parameters are being picked up and how can we designate an order of which will be the first eight?

Edit: I'm using all live.* objects for parameter control in the device.

same question here...
all my params are mapped to some seemingly random knob in one page or another... for example I have a live.tab in one device and it turns up as knob 1 on page 1 to choose the selected tab!!!

anyone got ideas on this? maybe it has to do with bpatcher nesting levels?

So I've noticed this is the same with the Pluggos as well.

So what's the deal with giving parameters an order for the APC's Device Control knobs?

Looks like they're arranged in alphabetical order. You can see that from the parameters window or by calling the device parameters from the API. Only Ableton's devices have a different order. And VST and AU's show parameters in the order as you arranged them.
