The dude looks like he's on meth and plays the launchpad with the finesse of a 3 yr old gorilla. Seriously crap music too, the kind of thing you hear in a 3rd rate Ibiza nightclub populated by a couple of dozen lager louts and some cheap tarts who think Aqua and Vengaboys rule and who all have Happy Hardcore compilation albums on their Ipods.

But all power to him, any kind of fun is cool in such a miserable, depressing world and this certainly put a smile on his face - this or the crank.

so this guy is obviously lp addicted :D only moonwalk is failing at the end. Seems we need a self-helf group for addicted anonymous lp users here soon, if the whole forum is not yet mutated to one past weeks.

Also there will probably be much more music in future with all that max4live and lp hype that is controlled by the workflow/functions of this hard/software and not the musical ideas of the users, just hittin buttons on and on  I think they r both great tools, but its easy to waste a lot of time with it.

not particularly my taste of music but its nice to see the guy just buzzing away and enjoying him self, hes got a nice way of jaming with loops that combined with the record button, could easily get tracks roghly layed out very quickly and spontaniously for further work at a later time.

Add a push-up brah and a nice mashup, and that would have been pretty hot.

genious at the start where it was almost justice warped into start wars but alas it really went off the rail..

my one complaint with the majority of apc launchpad vids. they jam all this stuff into a 5 minit clip.

"but can you do it for an hour minimum?"

Lols, that cat makes me laugh.

Just got my Launchpad, loving it. This is what Live should have shipped with as soon as midi control was put in.

Im finding some of the youtube clips a little embarrasing though.

Users flicking their hands up in a flourish after every button press with a soulful look. They do know theyre not playing an instrument, right? The button is either on or off, no overblown wankery required. Its no more an instrument than a qwerty keyboard is in function.

I wonder if they do these flourishes when theyre programming their microwave to defrost a chicken.

that post made me watch this.

funny replies, agreed.

the Launch Pad is a great little box. great build, great feel, the more I use it the easier it gets to switch between modes to tweak stuff or look for a setting. I really like how an LED with be brighter is a setting is set away from the norm. it's very cool they kept it usb powered.

I like how daedelus does his flourishes though, deliberately exagerrating them into a performance, but he understands that they are flourishes

that was great. Enjoyed that clip.

I find his flourishes less annoying as he just seems really into the music and and its a pretty soulful mix. The guy in the youtube vid seems so focussed on hoping that you think he is doing something cool and physically difficult.

Flourishes arent out of place on an instrument or turntable, as they really affect the dynamics of the performance. As these buttons are not velocity sensitive then any flourishes are simply performance art. Maybe it only annoys me if I dont like the music! Prejudice confirmed!

Sayonara! Sayonara!

hehe, yeah music was a bit stupid but the guy look liek a funny dude. Nothing wrong with a bit of fun. He probably dont have it since very long, stop bitching on the performance.

ps: Flourishes ftw!!
