I use Line 6's Pod Farm plugin with Ableton Live 7.015 on a MAC Mini. My Pod Farm plug-in is authorized for use with my Line 6 X3 Live pedal, so I can configure dual tones within Pod Farm.
So, I stick the Pod Farm plugin in a Return track and route my guitar track to it. And, I configure whatever set of effects I wish as a dual tone in Pod Farm. And, at that point, I can mix all the tracks down to a great sounding Master track.
The problem, however, is when I attempt to use Export Audio to create a WAV file of my Master track. That causes Pod Farm to revert to its default single tone settings. And, that evidently occurs before the WAV file is created because when I listen to it the guitar part is dry -- just the direct guitar with no effects.
I can use Pod Farm's custom editor from Clip View to save the dual tones and that saves correctly. And, I can do a Save Preset from Clip View and that also saves the Pod Farm dual setup correctly. And, if I save the live set, and then open it back up, the Pod Farm plugin in the return track is still configured for dual tone.
It is only when I do a Export Audio that Pod Farm reverts backs to its default single tone setup.
But, if I configure a set of effects as a single tone, Export Audio does not revert that back to the default single tone configuration. So, the problem only occurs during Export Audio and only if Pod Farm is configured for Dual Tones.
Whazzup with dat?
Export Audio problems with Line 6 Pod Farm plugin
Re: Export Audio problems with Line 6 Pod Farm plugin
Did you ever figure this out? I am having the same problem in Live 8. I ended up recording from my line6 ux8 back into Live on new tracks. It's a super hassle.
Re: Export Audio problems with Line 6 Pod Farm plugin
I was able to isolate the problem to the AU version of the Pod Farm plug-in. Try using the VST version, instead.
Re: Export Audio problems with Line 6 Pod Farm plugin
Bummer. I am using a PC so I am already using the vst version.
