LAUNCHPAD - moving the red box with the mouse

LAUNCHPAD - moving the red box with the mouse

Is there a way to do this?

Sometimes I'll do some navigating around my live set with the mouse and sometimes I'll do it with the launchpad.

I'd like to be able to right click and set the left hand top corner of the red box to the current mouse position or currently selected clip.

[my live set is currently about 400 rows by 8 columns and sometimes it's quicker to use the mouse to locate a track]

Don't know if you can do that, but if you press and hold the session button again when in session view you get a summary view which helps you to quickly navigate your set.

Yeah, I do that too, but it would be nice being able to control the red box from the mouse as well as the launchpad.

After all, the launchpad updates if i use the mouse to trigger a clip or change the volume of a track or arm a track etc etc.

sorry, fairly sure you can't do that at the moment. Perhaps if Ableton add it in an update. As I understand it the nav square is part of the API and stems from the user configuration script for the Launchpad (or APC), and so it's probably only going to be controlled by that. I'm not even sure if you can get at it yet with max4live.
