Alesis Micron + Ableton Live = Pops and Clicks

Have any Alesis Micron owners noticed pops and clicks when you set the Micron to sync to external MIDI clock and then have Ableton Live 4.1 transmit MIDI clock?

More specifically, the pops and clicks only seem to occur with the Micron's delay effect - that is, the dry signal doesn't pop or click and turning off external sync also solves the problem.

I don't have anything else to test it with (no other hardware or software) and Alesis support seems to be oblivious to any problems; responding with the usual "reinitialize it" and "upgrade the firmware" (I have reinitialized, and the firmware was current out of the box.)

Any ideas?

Nevermind - I just took it back after trying it in Cubase SX 2.2. (same problem there)
