That's alright... I did create a package that includes the cliplauncher with the Monome emulator. I used it quite frequently.

Mike,

I have been playing with this patch for a while with no issue. I remember you telling me before that you had a lot of crashes with the Live API. I don't seem to be having these on the two computers i use to program on. Maybe it's time to re-image. :-)

Mike

have installed on two different machines. same thing - click edit button, it opens up, I look at it for a few seconds and down she goes. don't even know where to start with reporting bugs on this. I actually had the patch open and editing for like 5 mins. funny thing is i changed nothing, just had a look around and boom.
I spoke too soon. While trying to use the M4L.api.SelectControl and M4L.api.SelectComponent and some of the other related control surface objects from the API, I get consistent crashes. This occurs while editing. hmmm. I will have to look into this more. I was trying to create a tutorial on how to integrate supported control surfaces in the Live API.

In my version there is no lesson 14 in max for live chapter.
The files are actually located under Library\Lessons\Sets\
CS Step Sequencer.als
CS Step Sequencer.amxd
I'm running version 8.1.1.

This patch is exactly what I was looking for! Plain and simple, clip note editing using novation launchpad! The simplest sequencer for launchpad, because it is based on Live's clips.

I bet this could be extended to support all kinds of things (note velocity, clip envelopes!?) Perhaps one can make a "global" view, similar to what you get when you press and hold the session button, a kind of overview of the complete clip's note-space? There are so many possibilities. I'm very happy to be a witness to this revolution happening to Live. I hope in the future I'll be more than a passive user of max for live, but first, there is so many patches to try... :)
