rewire broken

Since 8.08 rewire seems to crash Ableton without fail. My system is practically unusable as rewire is my main mode of work. 8.09 does the same and for some reason when I've switched back to 8.03 and 8.05 starting a rewire app also crashes Live. I'm on Mac 10.5.8. Any help would be appreciated as I use multiple rewire apps in my production chain all the time.

It sounds like a bad version of the Rewire files.

Live automatically checks and builds the rewire when it is run for the first time. It might be that somewhere the file was changed between versions sligtly, and this is causing an issue.

Look in your library/applicationsupport/rewire (both global and user) and delete the rewire bundle. Then download and install it again from http://www.propellerheads.se/download/u ... isplaymain

If that doesn't work, then I'd delete it again and also live. Start from scratch.

thanks for the reply... that seems to have worked... I also deleted a rewire file in the root of the application support folder, then reinstalled rewire.

The actual Rewire in application support was a glaring omission from my original post. I completely forgot.

Glad that you're problem is fixed though. Mine are still waiting for a reply...
