Man, I recently upgraded from Live 6 to 8.08, and I have yet to sit down for a session without Live crashing. It crashes, the cpu meter spikes unexpectedly unleashing bursts of static in my ears, and sometimes it just locks the entire computer up, no mouse, no force quit, no nothing. Live 6 had it's crashes but this is just impossible.
Computer specs:
Intel Core 2 1.87ghz, 2.0 gb ram, Windows XP
It has probably crashed on every set I have opened and worked on, but the most recent one had these third party plug-ins: Superwave P8, Arturia Minimoog 5, PSP Vintagewarmer, Ganymed.
This is so incredibly frustrating, and there seems to be no rhyme or reason to why it crashes. Sometimes it's when I click something, sometimes it's just when stuffs playing and there's no precipitating action on my part.
I have no idea about how to begin to sort this out. I mean, I guess I'm going to try out Live's tech support for the first time, so if anyone has any information about how I might speed things up, or potential quick fixes, that'd be sweet.
