Now that's what I call Customer Support (sherman filterbank)

Post by grok » Fri Nov 13, 2009 11:50 pm

Check this out;

Last week I contacted Sherman Company because my LFO speed pot needs replacement. So the man himself (Herman)contacted me,and gave me some support how to fix the pot. Next thing he tells me he allready has send a spare pot to my adress 8O No extra charges, on the house. All this for a unit I bought in the nineties
RESPECT to Herman and how he runs his company

I like NI product but the software support sucks, Reminds me I'm about to email John at NI Support again with the same question. If he does respond it often has little to do with the question I asked. Whats up with that?

Makes me wish I was dealing with Nico here at Ableton. He's was always right on the money and helped me with my questions right away.

It is reassuring to know that there are still good companies that actually offer help with the things they make.

It can't be worse than Sonnox. NI look like angels next to them.

I own their elite bundle, and have sent 4 emails in the past 3 months. Not one response. For software you pay that much for you'd expect a little more.

edit: I gotta retract this. It ended up being the fault of my ISP as they had a bit of an overactive blacklist. So I never saw any of the Sonnox emails :) All sorted, and they are actually very good!

its funny, if your car breaks down you can drive it in the window of the dealership and they listen..

damn companies dont put a price on support for software yet expect top dollar for it..

thank god some companies are still human
Anything at my disposal..

1. Asked why the AU version of the limiter does not have the ability to turn off dithering, while the VST version does.
2. Asked why the AU version of the EQ does not allow you to turn off the graphic display so you can just adjust with your ears, while the VST version does.
3. I am unable to install the newest versions of the limiter, eq and dyanamics because double clicking their new installers now opens up OS X Automator instead of actually executing and installing!

That's seriously good service. It's nice to hear that it still exists somewhere!

Why don't you just pretend you're someone important ? They might reply if they think you're Janet Jackson
