it works fine for using my echo indigo io with the built in headphone out on my notebook simultaneously.sweetjesus wrote:i'm bumping this coz i'd like to find a way to use my mbox and the headphone outs on the actual notebook, ive got this app but doesnt seem to support what i wanna do. Any ideas anyone?
are you going into advanced mode in asio4all settings?
once you switch to advanced you should be able to select which inputs and outputs you want to be active on both devices.

I tried it but latency becomes lousy and cannot find the way to define the routing ( I want internal for auditioning and Indigo as main)malarky wrote: it works fine for using my echo indigo io with the built in headphone out on my notebook simultaneously.

How is your setup ? What latency ?
with both devices going simultaneously i just keep the buffer on both the echo and internal soundmax set to 512 samples - which is the default asio4all setting (i can get lower. but this is a comfortable setting). i also disabled all but the first pair of the echo's virtual outputs - along with the input on the internal card.rikhyray wrote:I tried it but latency becomes lousy and cannot find the way to define the routing ( I want internal for auditioning and Indigo as main)

i'm not totally sure about the routing, but i believe it just depends on the order in which you enable the ports/device (not sure if it's by port or device). so, basically, just enable the echo first - then the internal soundcard - and in your audio app the echo should now be output 1&2 and the internal card will be 3&4.
one other cool thing about it is if i unplug the echo, the internal card then becomes 1&2. so it's not neccessary to switch between drivers if i'm just using the internal card without the echo.
i just use the internal card for auditioning, as you intend to do. so for me it's not too important that the latency between them is perfectly in sync. though there is a latency compensation slider in asio4all should you wish to adjust it.
hope this helps.
yep, it doesn't work at all with the MBOX, because there's no WDM driver..only ASIO and MME....

That's too bad it doesn't work for you. I have some issues with it and my EZ8. It shows as out of range. I have to remove the EZ8 driver and reboot. Live never end tasks in that case.
On another note. The simple\advanced button is one of the funniest things I've seen on a software interface in a long time.

sounds like it could be an issue with how you have the outputs or cueing setup in live. try disabling all but the first pair of virtuals outs on the indigo from within asio4all. this makes it much easier in figuring which pair of outputs is which in live (it can only be one or the other).rikhyray wrote:I am not able to make it work. I can see, in hardware set up, but only internal card can be heard, both main and cue.
It works without problems in Traktor but not in Live.
or perhaps you still need to hit the button to switch from solo to cueing mode, and select the right output pair.
could also be that you just need to pull up the asio4all control panel from within live and make sure everything is set right there. asio4all does store different settings per application and user, so that could be another possiblity of why it might work in one app and not another.
