Pasha, I'm excited to check it out as well.

I'm working with another songwriter and we are getting ready to finish our first album that done completely with live. i have a few albums under my belt that i've been part of and this is a huge deal for personal reasons.

I'm pretty sure that all the tracks no longer have any 3rd party plug-ins, which is a huge deal if you ask me. Sometimes it takes a little longer to get the results we want without them, but we seem 'able' to do what we need to do in ableton.

I am still leery of mastering, I would rather send it off the final mix to a pro.

Curious to see what people think and whether or not it sounds "Professional" ;-). Several of my friends in the music industry think I am insane for trying to avoid using protools, or logic, or any other 'normal' DAW.

I have been using since version 3, and its amazing to see everything fall into place.

Hey man, congratulations on the release. It seems like you've pleased everyone which is quite a hard thing to do. So well done. I am excited to take a listen.

I listened to the first 5 tracks - that's some smoooooth nu-jazz sound you got going there !

Nice stuff Pasha, I was only listening through my laptop speakers so I can't give constructive crits, but there was plenty of melody about your work and it sounded very good in the context I was listening in. Morning Mood was my favourite so far, some nice occasional vocals too.

Excellent Work :P What a debut. I can feel the love you put into it. I've been wanting to listen to something like this for a while.

Not my style of music.
The quality of the production and the mix sounds great on my Grados though.

Again, thanks to everybody.
Especially those who listened without liking this genre.
This forum is the best on the internet also for this.

It's true. I sent out over 70 copies of my EP when I offered it here, was very pleased with the response.

They need some kind of 'link your music' forum...

Sounds good to me. The mix is good, arrangement works, and overall very nice and lively dynamics.

Some of this is not my cup of tea either, except perhaps the classical piano track, which I enjoyed on a personal note.
But who cares! All the tracks works great for what they are supposed to do. Great job! :)

It's really not my style of music, sorry, but I wanted to chime in here to say that the production and mastering sound just excellent. Wide, deep, full, clear....very, very well mixed, produced and mastered. And you only used Live's native plugins for mastering? I'm frankly kind of amazed!

Can I also just suggest (and sorry if this is too nitpicky) that comments such as "is this good enough?" really aren't the best way to draw attention to your music? The production is totally pro but your subject line makes you sound like an unconfident amateur!! If this were any forum but ableton I'd have bypassed the thread for that reason alone....just a thought.

Thanks for comment. I agree with you, the subject should be edited, the problem is that I'm not English native speaker
and I was referring to something else when writing it. Better if I remove the last part as you pointed out.
I made everything with Live, it took time though. There are many unexplored presets in Live 8 and 7.
Maybe people take for granted that Live cannot do it. I experimented a lot. You can't imagine how many times
I restarted from scratch...as long as I learned new stuff!
