Setting up Ableton to record ADAT Lightpipe without clicks

Post by harij » Tue Nov 17, 2009 4:02 pm

Hi all,

I'm trying to record multitrack through my ISA preamps using ADAT Lightpipe. When I record like this in Pro Tools all I have to do is set external sync and optical. Where should I go in Ableton to do the same? At the moment I'm getting the annoying clicks and pops that have been talked about so many times before

Peace

Harij

P.S. I've looked all over the web for advice with no luck so any help would be well appreciated.

I had a motu 828 and I set up the clock source with the dedicated motu control panel and it's the same with my new rme fireface. I think there's no such setting in ableton prefs so maybe you should just go to the audio midi configuration in 'Utilitaries' and set it up with your preamp properties.
