Using Master Bus effects and Multi Core Processors

Post by mlee_aus » Wed Nov 18, 2009 4:11 am

After reading some threads on this forum I have been informed that the use of return tracks can cause Live to consume lots of procesisng power on one core in a cpu.

This has lead me to this question:

Will using effects and plugins on the master track (bus) cause Live to pools all its resources on one core?

How can I test this?

Thanks in advance

You can test it by putting plugins on your master bus and seeing if it uses more than one core :)

Well, you start by putting on some plugins on your master bus. Then use your operating systems activity monitor to see if it's using more than one core?
