Well, thanks for all the help and advice! I sincerely appreciate it. I think I have a perfect list of gear to buy now, thanks to you all. I will try to remain active on this forum, maybe I could post some of my stuff in the future or ask for help if I needed it. So once again, thanks for being such good sports about this. Its helped a ton.

-M-Audio 25 Key Controller

-Ableton Live 8

-Some type of instructional book.
It's been mentiond before, but keep it in mind many controlers/keyboards come with a lite version of ableton. So before you immediatly pay for the full version, check whether the keyboard you want comes with one. And if it does, register that, and then update to the full version

http://www.ableton.com/pricing wrote: Ableton Live -- Download -- Box

Ableton Live 8 -- EUR 299/USD 399 -- EUR 379/USD 449
(boxed version additionally includes Essential Instrument Collection 2)

Upgrades from Live Intro/Live Lite to Live 8 -- EUR 229/USD 279 -- EUR 279/USD 349
(also upgrades from Live LE)
