Something similar to Alesis pad control?
Something similar to Alesis pad control?
I'm thinking of building a small E-Drum Kit.
It seems like the Alesis Pad Controil would have been the perfect start
but it's not available anymore.
Is there another nice'n'easy cheap one to get?
The alesis was sold for only 149,00 at last.
It don't needs to come with build in sounds, just as a controler?
Cheers

that's what he was talking about and it's a piece of crap.UKRuss wrote:http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/ControlPad/
the Roland SPD8 is still the king in this area. after that there's Korg Wave Drum or the Roland HPD15.

I have the older DD-55 model---Surprisingly enough it works pretty well
The internal sounds are crap, but I only used it for Live's drum racks.
I modified mine a bit by gutting it & getting rid of alot of the plastic.
Think I bought it on E-Bay for like 75 bucks...Consider it

Hm,all the Roland and Korg stuff is very expensive
and the Yamaha one i don't like that much.
I Guess i will try to get an Alesis and check it out!
Anyone knows where to get one in Europe?

the Alesis ControlPad works great for me, good sensitivity, no dropped notes, no xtalk and you can even have cymbalchoke with the right drumpluginsettings.

Sound like you want to go more into the e-drum direction than a table top pad thingie?

Was done for the game, means it sells extremely more units than a e-drum kit for musicians would do, means: brings the price down.
And it can be used without the game ;-)
