I just finished my first ever music video for the Dark Matter EP track, Riven.
It's pretty intense but meant to be.
Sorry there's not actually much guitar on this track besides some Space Echo feedback at the beginning.

Re: Riven! New music video
hey,
unfortunately i only could watch the first 30secs coz youtube doesn't buffer :/ but: is there a connection between the music and the video? for me, in a music video there has to be a link between the instruments (or only the beat) and the visuals. maybe i am wrong and the synchrony (does this word exist?) was lost in rendering.

Hmmm, my link doesn't have any problems. If you have trouble please You Tube Riven Distant Earth.
Re: Riven! New music video
Had no buffer problems here either but once again, I fail to see any relationship between the music and video. Were you just experimenting or are you trying to display your post production prowess? Further, the video does not enhance the track and visa versa. Were you going for 'shock and awe'? The music track sounds very good on its own. Thanks for sharing.

Re: Riven! New music video
I am experimenting, in the future I hope to make REAL music videos shot by video camera rather than just taking footage from You Tube. I already have ideas but as of now lack the technology and skills to put them into action. I'm talking to other better filmmakers as to what we might be able to do. As for "shock and awe" I suppose I was going for that, but still just trying things out.
But tlennon your criticism is welcome, I need to get better at this stuff. I've realized that You Tube and music videos are a good way to get more noticed and recommend others to look into it.
I'm playing a live gig in a few months and plan to film it.
Again, these days a You Tube prescience is vital as a music maker and/or artist.

I totally agree with you. I suppose this is a good way to get the practice and experience you will need. If you are having fun, go for it. I look forward to seeing your future productions.
