So I just upgraded to Ableton Live v8 to take advantage of the new 'looper' functionality. It works as advertised, however...
The latency is killing me. I've adjusted the buffer and I/O settings to get the most real-time sound without audio drop-outs. But its not cutting it. The small amount of latency ruins anything I record, as I hear my guitar playing, and hear what ableton is processing, and its not on point.
The only workaround I have found is to cut off ableton's live monitoring, so I don't hear anything from the computer at all.
...But what if I want to use live processing? I want to add VSTs and hear everything as I play/loop.
Is there anyway to get this latency to a non-noticeable level? I skimmed over some stuff about a driver called 'asio4all' but I'm not exactly sure if this is what I'm after.
Any ideas?
Live 8 + MobilePre USB + Live Guitar Processing = Latency
Re: Live 8 + MobilePre USB + Live Guitar Processing = Latency
Yea I am having trouble with the latency in LOOPER too on two computers with two different interfaces Its 8.0.9 nothing works
to make LOOPER very usable in a "live" situation.
