i have the box, dvds, manual, everything that came with Live 6. i was just getting ready to toss it out and i thought i'd ask if there is any reason to save it? i don't think anyone could use it even if i gave it away.
thanks,
mikeB.
live 6 box, book, dvds, etc. save for any reason?
Re: live 6 box, book, dvds, etc. save for any reason?
sentimental reasons?
you maybe want to have a look at in 35 years and your childrens children will ask:
grandpa, did you really play notes by hand???
i throw away old stuff and keep my mind on the backups of the actual stuff.
ok, i don´t have kids, maybe that´s why.

A cautionary tail of woe.
A couple of years ago i had some problems trying authorize reaktor 4.
I had the dongle and figured i would just need to down load the latest updater and every thing would be sweet.
No way...
So i called N-I to get some help, they immediately pegged me as some jerk off trying to authorize a cracked version.
In order to get round the problem i ended up having to photograph every installer disk i had, all of the manuals showing the serial numbers
and receipts to show where i had bought them from...
This was quite an effort on my part as i had bought into reaktor since version 3.
In those days there was no such thing as a down load only option, every thing had to be bought on a disk.
Any ways..
The lesson i learned was...
NEVER THROW AWAY ANY INSTALLER DISK THAT HAS BEEN PART OF AN UPGRADE PATH.
I'm not suggesting the Abes will screw you...
I'm just saying... is alls i'm saying.
