Hey,
Trying to get back to Live 8 as my main composition software,
I really like the creativity flow of Live, but this issue makes me have to
use Pro Tools all the time.
Is there any way to edit the audio clips?
I don't mean warpping or set loop points, but do real edits
(cut/copy/paste/delete), so you can for instance delete the silence
parts or create a clip from 2 clip parts without having to record them
on a new track.
Thanks
How do you make audio clip edits?
Re: How do you make audio clip edits?
Hello,
Edit your Clips in the arrangement and use the consolidate feature to create new Clips out of your edits for further
Session use.
best,
Christian

So the only way, is to record a clip to the arrangement view,
and there be able to edit and then consolidate?
Well, I hope in future releases, Ableton will make the option
to edit audio in the session view.
Maybe it was request by other users already, cause this way looks a lot
of work when with most of the DAW software can do it!

Hello,
You can copy/paste or drag´n drop Clips between the Session<->Arrangement
