U-he's ACE synth intro discount!

Post by glitchrock-buddha » Thu Nov 26, 2009 4:51 am

This thing rocks.

Available now:
http://www.acesynth.com/
Normally 69 euros/85 usd, but if you the coupon code "Spaghetti", the first 333 will save 10 euros (S0 59 euros/ about 73 usd).

Get it. Seriously.

(Oh and then if you buy the Berlin Modular u-he releases next year, you get the full price back you paid for ACE.)

There is nothing quite like it available and the sound quality pushes the limits of what is available in plug-ins.

Listening to the demos, to me it sounds as thin as most softy's, nothing special in that area?

I'm going to download it and give it a try. First of I don't like collecting a bunch of VSTs. I'd rather just save up and get Komplete 6. Plus I always find the learning curve on new synths tough. I'll just stick with Synth1.
Then again it depends on how many patches they include and how many tutorials they have. It sounded pretty sweet, but it seemed to eat up quite a bit of CPU. So many things to think about.

Download the demo and program it yourself. Definitely not thin at all.

This is my favorite track mostly using ACE (a bit of hardware modular in there too)

If you are serious, then I would say you have made a snap judgment that is in error, but hey, if you really feel that way, you have no obligation to get it, nor do I care in the slightest if you do.

Thanks mate!

Don't forget to mention the promo code ("Spaghetti") that brings it down 10€ from 69€ to 59€. From the 333 codes there are still more than a hundred left 8)

Regarding the thin sound of softsynths, this only happens with low quality cables. The cables in ACE are modeled after the most expensive cables on the market, so they need to be listened to with quality gear, at a reasonably high level. Or Maybe your mp3 decoder is just lame (I've always been wondering why there hasn't ever been a debate about mp3-decoding as opposed to encoding... there sure must be enormous differences between each player?!?)

It's just the 333 promo codes that will run out, probably around mid of next week. The 69€ price tag is fixed, the amount in USD will be adjusted with whatever the dollar does.

The presets are about 80% of the final set. It's basically missing about 75-100 presets from Howard Scarr (the HS ones in the root directory), and some of the other designers will send a few more too.

There will however be more presets pretty soon I'm sure, and they'll be linked here:

Cheers,

;) Urs
