What plug-in should i buy for 150 that's not a synth?

Post by Jekblad » Fri Nov 27, 2009 12:31 am

Played a gig and got some money.
I have Live suite 8 and alchemy, camelspace, psp nitro, and 5 dollar breverb.

Can i even get a non-synth worth having for 150? I'm talkin compressors, utilities etc. I'd love any suggestions, though i might just hold onto it for kontakt.

Happy thanksgiving!

this is a good question that i would like an answer for also, with buying NI massive for $99, im not going to need any synths for awhile, so am also looking for what else i could buy thats not a synth. Just any recommendations on any plug ins that you think of that are awesome and worth trying.

Ive been looking into compressors and Fx's. just dont know which way to go to adding to the tunes.

between live's utilities and sampler you can make some pretty great music.

if you really need some additional dynamics plugs, i'd suggest some voxengo plugs. sonalksis is pretty good stuff too. they were having a sale on the dynamic eq a while back. vintage warmer rocks too. but if you are just looking for the sake of it, you probably don't need anything else at the moment.

i would definitely suggest and additional reverb. aether reverb. aether is 250 though. because in all honesty, the compressor and multiband dynamics in live work pretty damn well.

If you need compressors and EQ, check out anything from Voxengo, great value for excellent tools.

I'd say spend it on some counseling so you can have the self confidence to make up your own mind about what you buy.
It was as if someone shook up a 6 foot can of blood soda and suddenly popped the top.

I'd get D82 Sonic Maximizer, $129 from nomadfactory.com but cheaper elsewhere.

With the leftover money, buy johnisfaster an hour with a hooker, cheep him up.
