converting midi tracks to audio...

Post by xian » Sat Mar 05, 2005 12:32 am

Can someone advise me the simplest way to go about doing this - can't seem to sort it from the manual. Thanks!

use your input/output

Instead of your Output on your MIDI track to Master, put it to one of your Audio tracks, then arm the audio track to record if you want. You could alternatively do your input on your audio track from your MIDI track. If you want to capture live play, you can arm both tracks by using the control function.

where is the midi going?
midi on its own isn't going to make audio, the midi will control a softsynth or a hardware synth.

if you're midi'ing a hardware synth, you need to record the output of that synth and then render with live. If you're controlling a softsynth then you just have to render the audio...

No worries,
So you have a midi channel feeding midi into kontakt and u can hear this when you play back normally?

if so, you should be able to just render audio to disk.. or is that not working?
