launchpad edition docs say 4 vsts, software says limit of 2?

hi, I using the launchpad edition of live, and according to this chart: http://www.ableton.com/pages/2009/novat ... d_vs_live8 i should be able to use 4 instances of VSTs, but when i'm using the software when i try to add a third VST the software doesn't let me saying i can only use 2 at a time with this version. I looked in the perferences/user accounts and it says i have the launchpad edition.

it there a setting i can change to get access to 4? is this a mistake in the literature, cause I think intro can use 4?

Maybe check if there is a newer version of Launchpad Edition available to download?

I installed the LP Edition while waiting for the V7 update that supported the LP, and I could only get two VST's working in LP Edition. I am sure the comparison chart at the time mentioned only two, which makes me think there is an update available.

it says 4 of each in the link i provided, and i'm pretty sure they had it at 4 on that list for a while, i got my launchpad 2 days after it came out.

i'll check for an update when i get home today...

so how do i get the newest version of the launchpad edition? i don't see a download for it in the downloads section on the ableton site.

cause i don't think rewire was installed even though it says there is rewire in this edition. don't see ableton in the rewire options of reaper for example

You need to download the Live 8.0.9 installer here:

With this version, you can use 4 VST instruments and 4 VST effects

thanks downloading now, hopefully that solves it without bringing any other problems. aside from that issue, the version of live i was running was running great, no crashes or anything thus far
