What have you compared it to?

How much range is there in the tone?

Can you add effects in the chain with ease?

I just checked their site and the driver is custom made by eminence. Any effects are no problem. I set my amp like I would for live with all my stuff. The Axetrak just replaces your speaker cab. I use to record with SM57's and cabs. I've tried POD's, Palmers, attenuators, various line out effects and preamps. The AxeTrak sounds Better to my taste. check out the clips its pretty close to what you get with it. [/url]www.axetrak.com

Give me Guitar Rig by Native Instruments anytime!!! It is a phenomenal piece of software with a great sound and very flexible!!! To me it's the best thing you can buy if you are a guitarist. Hardware amps are a thing of the past in my book.

"Hardware amps are a thing of the past in my book."
Agreed, but over the weekend, I had a blast cranking through a full-stack! Haven't done that in years!

Can't disagree more.... Sure some CPU hog high latency pluggin will give
you a large variety of sounds... But when it comes to getting YOUR
GREAT SOUND... A speaker with a nice tube amp will never be beat.
