Sombody needs to man up and create the world's second website. It's been about 20 years. I think the world is ready for a second site option.

OK you're choosing to remain mad, fine. Don't expect a lot of sympathy though. There are plenty of assholes on any forum you can find on the internet. The beauty of this one is that the assholes are not heavily moderated, so you can spot them, abusive language, and nothing good to say in any post etc. In other forums they learn to skate the moderators and get you to engage them etc. To me anyway it's better to know outright who the misogynists are don't you think?

A short answer on this is hard, but I'll try.
First off Ableton was started by musicians with a total love of freedom of speech and anti censorship ideals. They have to obey german law, but beyond that they don't really want to moderate this place. Here's the reason, say you don't like the word shit? Well language and especially foul language has been used for ages to separate classes of people, so that's not an acceptable reason for censorship . You don't like intolerance? well then this is where it gets sticky, what is the line? where do you draw the line as far as jokes or conversation goes?
Does that mean we can't say any joke based on color or sex? what else is off limits?
Then comes the stickler, a moderator might just like the writing style of a particular person more than you, they might share the same music tastes etc. then bannings and censorship becomes a matter of personal taste. As it stands with the little moderation that goes on here, I've seen people banned that I didn't think deserved it, and others have stayed, and honestly dom is pretty mellow.

In the end this is only one step above an anonymous board, and if you don't like the atmosphere, then it's not the place for you. I don't think you should leave personally. I find it hilarious that an assumed female has upset everyone so much, but I think you've made your point pretty well on the issues you bring up. People PMing you and being abusive is really pretty lame, but that's a job for Ableton, not the forum.

Seriously though stay and point out when people are being sexist. I don't think that's a bad thing at all, I kinda miss DJ Shiva for that reason.
Be aware though that people will point out when you're using your assumed sex as a weapon to get sympathy or the upper hand, such is the nature of free speech.

If you truly cared about anything you've been ranting about, you would take your fight to those places.
