Hardware amps are a thing of the past in my book.
Can't disagree more.... Sure some CPU hog high latency pluggin will give
you a large variety of sounds... But when it comes to getting YOUR
GREAT SOUND... A speaker with a nice tube amp will never be beat.

Hello again MrYellow,

Well I guess we will just have to agree to differ on this one. I have been a guitarist for many years and have owned many amp/speaker combos and to my ears at least, Guitar Rig captures the sound of hardware gear easily. I prefer Guitar Rig by far purely for the flexibility it gives and of course the convenience of not lugging around heavy gear. I will never go back to hardware again. Sure it is a bit of a CPU hog, but if you are replacing a hardware set up and only use it for guitar then what is the big deal? However, I can run Ableton, Reaktor and Guitar Rig fairly comfortably on one system.
