There's some plugin in Logic that allows to do mid/side-emulation to a normal stereo-signal. I saw someone demoing this and it seemed a lot more efficient way to do stereo-spread, since you could preserve the centre.
It basically allowed to mix the volume of what's in both channels and the volume of what's the difference separately on a normal stereo signal.
Any way of achieving this in Live?

there an audio effect rack included in live8, m/s decoding. located in the "channel strips" folder.

Thanks, I was wondering about that too. I also managed to build my own M/S emulation and it sounds good.
