Advice- best footpedal out there?
Advice- best footpedal out there?
hi
my fcb 1010 just died, i've had it for a few years. It was fine, not the easiest to program, but manageable. i was going to just buy another one, but wondered if anyone else had a footswtich they liked (better if they can compare) to program for Live. I'm a guitarist and I am trying to create a system along the lines of Zoe Keating or Kid Beyond.
thanks in advance for any help.

I don't have any experience with it (yet) but Boss/Roland stuff is indestructable, and I have heard that this one is easy to program:

get another fcb1010 with the 2.5 eprom and iFCB editor. so nice.

If you only intend to use USB Midi and not a physical Midi Port, the Line 6 "FBV Shortboard MKii" seems to be picking up steam.
USB Connectability
Bus powered
User programmable via interface installed on your operating system
Plus it is a great price.

We need the Ableton "official" foot pedal like the APC and Launchpad are.. It'd be sick to have a real nice foot controller with visual feedback!
Just don't get a MIDI buddy by Rolls.. Very unreliable.

Has anyone had any good experiences attaching a foot pedal to the apc 40?
Re: Advice- best footpedal out there?

Absolutely, something simple that interfaces perfectly with Live (and not to expensive either).outershpongolia wrote:We need the Ableton "official" foot pedal

Infinity USB Foot Pedal
I wrote an AutoHotKey script along with key mappings to control up, down, and launch scene. Not sure how it will work on a Mac but it works well on PC. Very nice and streamline because it does not require power!

Not a solution for everyone, but this worked for me. http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=127431

It's a bit pricy, but I'm very pleased with my xtempo POK. I needed something small, and this one was the smallest WITH the most features.
