How YOU seperate vocals? Best techniques 2 get Accapellas?

Post by drifta303 » Thu Dec 10, 2009 2:28 am

So I want to separate the vocals from the rest of a track 'accapella' style and only know a few ways to do it...

1) EQ the vocals using a multi-band EQ..

2) Use the Utility for the isolator trick (But this didn't work very well for me)

3) Try find a spot in the song where the vocal is isolated

Are there any VSTs that do this kind of thing automatically perhaps?

Cheers

Paul

Try PhotoSounder: http://photosounder.com/

It let's you edit sound with Photoshop :)

There's a video on there demonstrating extracting vocals and making Accapellas.

Hope this helps.
