MPC 2000XL and Ableton 8

I know this might be a minor connection for some, but I'm having a hard time hooking up my MPC 2000XL To Ableton Live 8.

I'm using a Fast Track Pro for my interface. Any help will be appreciated.

I just don't understand what I'm doing wrong, I have a Oxygen 8 hooked up and It's running fine, but I just can't get the MPC running.

its not really an answer to your question..

just a tip:
i worked with the mpc set as the master and
ableton as slave..

much more better timing than the other way around
