Zabiela- Ableton Live DJ Mix

Check out this Ableton Live DJ mix from James Zabiela on John Digweed's Kiss 100 Show

The second hour is Zabiela and it's pretty sweet! Lot's of use of Ableton's time stretching and looping capabilities. It will only be up there another few days so listen soon.

This is a killer mix, digging that Aphex Twin tune. I'm actually going to see Zabiela here in Minneapolis tonight!!! Probably will be using his CDJ/Effects Unit setup instead of an Ableton Live setup.

It just sounds (according to the ID blurb) like a Digweed set.

Zabiella I can accept, but not Digweed.

(Damn its hard to not slag the guy's name... :roll: )

EDIT. After reading your post, It would seem that I have to endure the Dig through the Weeds to get to Zabiella... (pun, not slag)

Is there an App in OS X (like Audio Hijack) that will allow me to record this set and cut out the crap parts?

soundflower should help you route the audio to virtual outputs and into live etc..

You can just move the slider till the time reads 01:00:00 and that's where Zabiela's mix starts. Simple!

you sure this is him using Live? He's kinda the master with his CDJs, I can't imagine he's moved over to Live....

In fact, he just played recently with Sasha, and still used his CDJs, even though he had access to Sasha's computer/controller the whole night.

Yes it is him using Ableton. Before the show Digweed introduces the set as Zabiela using Live on his plane trips to Australia...

Not on Windows Media Player on Mac...

Great mix, not really into him too much but this shows off Live very nicely!

Done on a plane, I just watch the crap movies!!!

Currently Recording the Zabiella set portion to .mp3.

This guy really knows how to build a set...

You can also tell he is using Ableton because there are no signs of scratching in the mix either, which is staple in his normal cdj mixes...
