Recording absolute values in session view

Hello, i am interested in this, what do you mena recording absolute values ? as opposed to what ? i am ignorant on this topic please enlighten me

as opposed to relative values (modulation) which is the usual approach in session view.

it's incredible and i have to take my 'nerd' comment back....

i have seen and heard it in action, it is possible and i witnessed 8 automated parameters being recorded simultaneously into the SESSION VIEW into a clip.

Another great thing about this method is that you can change the instrument on a track without loosing your clip envelopes.

eg take a filter sweep that was programmed for operator and apply it to an instance of Analog.

yup.

also cool is that you can 'loop the automation' right away

i mean this method is a pretty hefty workaround and setup, i don't really get why the abes not program a 'module' that does it with low latency and easy labelling all in one... that would be a winner...
