+1 for ily, although it does quite have the buzzing behind the eyelids effect that lavazza does

Ily is like a once a year treat for me, Lavazza Black label is just about affordable. Normally I go for the red label.

Speaking of which - time for another.

Yeah, I buy illy for times when I know I'll have time to sit and actually drink a coffee with the paper, instead of using it as a stimulant :D

For that purpose, Tesco do some very nice cheapo ground coffee ;)

Last time I used on of those, John Wayne tried to kick in my front door.

I'm just amazed at how different coffee can taste by using all those different methods.
Except for the old percolator one. That be killing the coffee flavor imo.

I loves strong lattes.

Thanks for the thread! I love coffee, but never know which one to buy, can enjoy it only in good bars, not at home. I saw some advices here, much appreciated! ))

Absolutely. Good machine is essential, comes next after music gear on my priority list. For out of station gigs, unless it is Italy or Spain, along with notebook, sound card and controllers take small espresso machine.
When I started drinking coffee thought Lavazza to be good. Now, when I had some recently it tasted like rubbish, Oro is a bit better but these like Segafredo are supermarket "quality". Once you get used to better stuff there is no way back.
There are a lot of Italians in my area, so also Italian shops, great selections at sensible prices ( brands that you find in exclusive German shops at excessive prices).
Illy is rather expensive, even in Italian shops. My current favourites are Mauro and Kimbo, and my numero uno is Kimbo Napoletano.
