it's kind of like a hardware ableton.

fuckn nice OS... Ableton needs to take a cue from the relative controllers on this thing.

I used to use one as part of my live set, but it got sold as Live matured! An excellent one-box solution for anyone who's tired of looking at computer screens though.

The overall design is excellent. Knobs for everything.

Now that Pinnacle Steinberg Yamaha corporate collection is together it would be great if they resurrected this box.

I had to sell mine to fund the portable studio set-up.
Quite possibly the best hardware sequencer I've ever used.
Well either this or a QY700 but the RS7000 has a better interface.
Great for multi-time sig / polyrythmic work.
Very tight sequencer.
Great control surface .
Can do some pretty insane stuff when step sequencing CC's .
Excellent step seq and grid modes also.
Superb realtime use
Help ----------- Rikhyray I miss my RS7000    .
My aren't the wings of butterflies beautiful and do they not make wonderful perturbations.....

You have to stop playback on the RM1x all the time though. It's not really live. Besides that, it's a pleasure to work with.

Why do you find you have to stop playback?

I just wait till the kid who got mine will get bored with it so I will get it back, dont need it at the moment . It is no way replacement for Live but hardware sequenzer is a must- MPC 4000 or RS 7000.

If you wanna switch from step time recording to real time recording to track muting to list edit..? Not exactly live!
