(solved) Need help with Live+Harrison Mixbus+Jack

Hi fellows,

could someone help me with mixbus?

here am I today (getting more and more close to have it working...)

I've got Live's individual tracks sending audio via router to individual tracks in mixbus. the meters in mixbus are active and match OK the routings from live.

BUT

NO SOUND IN MIXBUS MASTER...

tracks are set to either direct out or master out... no one changes anything.

If I click on EDIT for the mixbus tracks' output miniwindow, the choices seem corresponding to my ultralite's outputs (1-14)...

in jackrouter's routing window, I seem to be unable to connect ardour/mixbuss to itself, only possible to connect to my ultralite physical ports, although I have set connexion to "manual" in mixbus' options...

and then when I'll manage to have the individual tracks to output in the master and mixbusses, how will I be able to hear the sound? I'll have to connect master out to the ultralite physical ports???

I'm 1000% LOST.

I wish they had not used jack, or better update it...
it's so confusing, how the individual tracks in mixbus are they intended to send audio to the mixbusses and the master, via other connections in jack router????

I'd be grateful for a nice tutorial from you guys...

Download the latest version of Jack (0.84, it was updated on Wednesday I think) and see if that resolves your problems. The best thing about the latest version is that it doesn't make you create an aggregate device (the overall stability seems much improved too).

It seems like maybe you have some incorrect routings in jack. From the Jackpilot App, hit the routing button, then make sure that the following things are paired:

Send Ports:				Receive Ports:

Live-Out1				Ardour-Audio 1/in1
Live-Out2				Ardour-Audio 1/in2
Live-Out3				Ardour-Audio 2/in1
Live-Out4				Ardour-Audio 2/in2

Ardour-master/out 1		system-playback_1
Ardour-master/out 2		system-playback_2

That's the setup using the internal soundcard, for 2 stereo tracks from Live into two stereo channel strips in mixbus.

for the routings I had it done like that, except for the master out

but my other problem is that the "left" part of mixbus'mixer doesn't send anything to the "right" part, so nothing gets ut of the master (meters show audio signal in tracks, but no meter activity in the mixbusses and in the master...)

well it seems that jack 0.84 is for snow leopard, I'm still 10.5.6 (soon 10.5.

upgraded to mixbus 1.1, and jack os X 0.85 32bits.

Relaunching computer in 5 minutes, then I'll give it another try.

Still unable to hear a single sound from HMB.

I HAVE the meters in tracks showing that they receive and transmit signals from ableton live (MSTR on, faders up), AND NO SOUND COMING IN THE MASTER BUS

If I send a track (levels moving) with one of the 4 mixbusses sends, NOTHING comes in the mixbusses.

WTF please???

ok, I got it, finally:

had to enable OPTIONs => MONITORING => "ARDOUR DOES MONITORING"...

that seem to make no sense to me, as the other option is "HARDWARE DOES MONITORING", but anyway we need to have signal thru the whole mixbus console chain, even if monitoring with the hardware, isnt it??

could someone explain this to me?

anyway, feel like, 3 weeks later, I'll be able to use it! to tired now to test it, better watch a movie.
