"keyframing" parameters.

hi,

I'm coming from a video/animation background, so I'm not sure how best to phrase my question, but here goes:

Is there a way to "keyframe" paramters (such as volume/filter envelope) in a midi loop so that the parameter will change automatically (once it has been set) as the loops is played back? For example, I would start the loop at low volume and raise the volume to high by the end of the loop and when it played back, the volume would adjust automatically each time the loop plays through?
