I've kind of asked this in another thread, just not so directly.
I'm pretty confused here! Please help...
I'm running Live 5.2.2 on an iMac (OS 10.5.8)Intel Core 2 Duo. I've previously really only used Live in Arranger view, as a um, arranging tool. So I want to start Djing using Live. It all comes down to the cueing/ monitoring.
Do I have to buy a soundcard or interface? Why can't I just use my Harmon Kardon usb speakers in conjunction with my headphones for cueing? Just because it would be in mono instead of stereo? Or is there some other reason I'm missing?
Do I have to use an interface or soundscard to dj with Live?

i spose you could mono all of your music and use the other channel for cuing, but in my experience, that's a hassle.
you definatly wont regret getting a decent interface. it will also help if you need to plug into a bigger sound system.
