Post by aboyes » Wed Dec 16, 2009 2:31 pm

Im getting Live Intro tomorrow!! I'm a newb and was wondering if there are any recommended DNB tutorials anywhere? Some of the youtube vidoes contain no help at all.

Get yourself over to dogsonacid.com. Not much in the way of tutorials but more information than you can shake a stick at about producing drum and bass.

Just make sure you ignore most of the stuff about this plugin or that plugin. 99.99999999% of sounds can be created in ableton live with a little bit of thinking.

That site’s partially responsible for me purchasing a lot of soft synths that are now gathering virtual dust.

Dogs on acid, sounds good. I'll check that out! Ableton is pure class, I'm blown away by the demo

dnb can take a while to master as there is so much going on, dont get too involved with 3rd party plugins just yet, but i would recommend getting the ez rollers sample cd as starting off it helped me big time as a source for quality drum samples
