Re: POLL - age distribution in this forum
made all the more sadder by the fact that people still talk about something that happened 43 years ago!Synthbuilder wrote:1966 A good year for English football they tell me.
2 world wars and one world cup....... pfffft
the only thing England has been consistent with is failing to win at a game we invented for 43 consecutive years running
as Bill Bailey says, we as Britons love most to celebrate our crapness. Holding the olympics in Stratford in 2012 is the most utterly hilarious thing I have ever heard considering even now you can't get a bus for love nor money from Stratford station even though the Jubilee line is closed for repairs and the central line is closed because some arseholed Glaswegian pissed and threw up in one of the carriages
fortunately I'm also an Aussie so I can at least take that side when we consistently win almost everything ever
i occasionally assert my Britishness when we beat Argentina or Germany or something like that, but most of the time it's much better to be Australian where sport is concerned!
And besides, the weather here is much nicer and people are actually friendly
in fact fuck Blighty, you poor sods who are still there can have it

Re: POLL - age distribution in this forum
no teenagers here?
or are they too afraid to admit they still have everything to learn from the "bunch of fricken geriatrics" snowboarding allegro on this forum since its prehistory?
I find it really interesting, had no clue how old could have been all of you...
Elders deserve more respect. I won't troll you anymore, just thought you were all lil' teens joking on the interweb
I'm sure we can say that those who do not tell us how old they are, may either be :
1) afraid to say they are 19, because they're afraid not to be respected so much anymore (what could it be!!!!)
2) too busy (mmmm, not so sure)
3) using fake IDs, used to troll, and don't want to be discovered...

Re: POLL - age distribution in this forum
At 51 most of the people I know of a similar age seem to be enjoying a kind of second childhood. Forming local bands, practising their instruments harder than ever and getting back into music production now that the kids have fled the nest.
I'm a bit surprised that it isn't reflected more in the results. Maybe most people my age just have more sense than to hang around here? Maybe they all use Cubase, who knows?

it's probably more that we frequently post when drunk and therefore take on an emotional age of teenagersmonstrejumo wrote: I find it really interesting, had no clue how old could have been all of you...
