trouble tapping a tempo

I have an unwarped track I am trying to tap a tempo for but live wont recognize (read) my taps properly, seems very glitchy, I have tried using both the mouse and also assigning a keyboard key to it ?

Have you updated to Live 4.1.1 yet?
Ableton recently fixed a bug in osx related to tap tempo.
