Sample's not working

Hey Guys,

So I had some samples saved, and when I went to test them out today it says the samples are offline. The only samples that don't seem to work are the samples of tracks that I've downloaded (An example would be a downloaded acapella) samples of tracks form Ableton are still working fine though. Does anyone know whats happening?

hi,

in Live's "file" menu(top bar),you can select "manage files",or "collect all and save".this will save ALL the samples you use into the liveset,so you never lose anything again.

A bit offtopic but maybe an option in the preferences would be great to "always collect when saving".. I personally would always leave this option on, as it has proven to be a real lifesaver when upgrading systems etc. but yeah, collect and save is your friend

the files are not being stored in your set unless you collect all and save or drop em into the folder your self.

You should still be able to point to them by using File Management in Live. In other words, you should still have them and they should still work.
