Synfire is expensive but fully worth the asked price, has tons of great features, a clear and well done manual (PDF and printed), gets bugfixes/updates very often and the Cognitone support is very responsive, helpful and nice.

In short words: I like Synfire very much and use it often.

Get it while the "early bird" lasts.

this year i got the firebox, two sample packs, and a couple of voxengo plugs. i am most happy with the voxengo plugs.

Presonus Firebox, which I would have gotten much earlier, but HP didn't know their own product and told me there was no Firewire port on my laptop (there was, but I didn't know what the symbol was until like 7 months after I asked them.) So much better than the M Audio MobilePre that I had.
