Launchpad isn't recognized in Live 8.1 Launchpad Edition

Hi there,

Please excuse my tone, I am so frustrated right now! I have tried to get my launchpad to work for almost 3 days now but it won't work with Live 8.1 Launchpad Edition/Lite.

I'm running Win 7 x64, and have looked around here for solutions but nothing has worked. I have tried:

Disabling and Enabling launchpad several times and restarting live,
Uninstalled and reinstalled drivers many times,
Tried the hold down "session+user1+user2+down" fix that some have reported to work,

I am all out of ideas and its killing me having this great hardware and not being able to get it recognized in Live

P.S contacted novation support but am yet to recieve a reply,

P.P.S Checked the log file and I found this "Not importing directory "Launchpad": missing __init__.py ?

Hi, I too am having great frustration getting the L'pad recognized. I have Live 8.1 (NOT Launchpad edition), running XP, and at first it worked fine. After I began experimenting with Automap, starting to build a mapping for Cubase SX, it seems like the instant mappings just stopped working completely. I've changed the Midi/Sync settings, since there is advice somewhere in theh documentation to do that to get the instant mappings recognized again - to no avail.

The L'pad works on another machine on which I installed the version of Live that came with the L'pad, i.e. 8.06 Launchpad Edition.I did nothing with Automap on this old PC.

I tried uninstalling the L'pad drivers and Automap, and then reinstalled them, all with no effect.I too am very frustrated that I have not been able to get, in my case, BACK to basic functionality.

Clearly I must read on here......
