The lauchpad is not that solid of a piece of hardware. If you do not mind the circle buttons that do not always work it is not that bad. It is portable (which is a plus), but if you really want to get the best hardware you really need to look at the apc 40. i do not work for akai I jst have used this peice of hardware since it was released to the public and have loved every minute. The only problem I have had is the updates from ableton sometimes will cause the apc 40 to not function correctly, so I continue to use the unregisted version becausee it has the least problems to date. i can not export of save but since I am in to the controllerism trend and smart mixing I do not care for either of those ability.
In a K induced Haze (the old K kind not the special K kind ), but an Asian spizz can sometimes bring me out! If ya don't get it, ya never will.

Well I have a nocturn and a BCF2000 so I was always weary of the APC, I simply do not need the faders and knobs. After reading all the stories about broken knobs and such and of course AKAI's silly Euro pricing I say fuck em. If my Launchpad will have buttons that don't function correctly I will swap it for a new one.
