Audio pops when using Lives filter effect in a sweep..

Post by fuentes925 » Sat Jan 18, 2003 7:47 pm

Hello

I have a Live filter effect set up on the master out of a song to do a filter sweep over the entire song on the break down. I have noticed that when in the break down and the filter is sweeping that there is audio pops where a sample clip ends or begins. I even tried fading the clips out to zero volume and bringing in clips from zero volume with in the filter seewp and the pops are still there. The pops sound much like playing a record with a scratch in it when the needle goes over the scratch. I tried several ways to not get a pop and it is not due to cpu over load, has any body else had this problem and if so how did you fix it?
this is frustrating :?

Hi fuentes925,

I assume you're using Live's AutoFilter effect. Unfortunately this filter is very sensitive for faster chanings of Q. It's not clear when and how we'll fix that. Main problem on changes of an effect is that we have to be very careful so that existing songs are not affected in their sound. But we'll try the best.

regards,
Alex
