Moog Voyager

Post by funky shit » Sun Dec 27, 2009 5:46 pm

Hey peoples!
Merry Christmas, hope you all had a good one :)

Finally getting a moooooooooooooog at the start of next month!
I'm going for the Voyager RME with the VX-351 & VX-352.
Also in the market for a car and insurance so i was thinking about leaving the expanders for a while, or just getting the VX-352 for now.

old ableton analogue gear whore advice appreciated

I always recommend the XYZ123 but finding one in good condition is getting harder and harder.

If you go for the Voyager RME this is the VX352 you're looking for, the VX351 is for Voyager only (I mean KB version).

I dont think so man, the VX352 adds the CV controls that the keyboard version has but the RME does not.
The VX351 adds more CV controls to both versions. Some of them are for the xy pad, which the RMe dosnt have.

so far i'm not make a thought for a control voltage expander as additive buy. but a voltage expander is a fine option. how does it looks with moogerfooger? can i use the moogerfooger with the voyager rme or only with the VX-352?

Well you can run audio into the moogerfoogers, but you would need to get the VX-352 if you wanted to control it.

Well it depends what you wana do..

as far as im aware, you plug the actuall sound outputs into a mooger fooger, but u can also control it via CV.

Right i made a post on the moog forum, and going to just copy it on here cause im very excited and not very patient.
Ok i should be able to buy this week, just mooching around for a good deal.
Im only going to go for the RME with the VX-352 at this point. Im even considering just getting the RME. Does the 352 open up massive sound capabilities out of the box, or is it best to have the 351 and other modular gear hooked up?

also.. can somebody point me in the direction to what patch cabels to get and how many. also heard that you should use a certain type of cable for the headphone out, into the external in

not really worth the doh going for the VX 351 & VX 352 if i dont have any other CV gear or moogerfoogers.
time will sort that.

Presets are for pussys. Voyager OS all the way. (I'm stroking mine as I write this, typing with both hands so guess what I'm stroking it with?)
