Novation Nocturn: Getting Mixer group to work

When I press "mixer" on the Nocturn I should be able to control the volume on the first 8 tracks in Live. But for some reason it does not react.

I followed the steps as outlined in this document http://www.novationmusic.com/answerbase ... php?id=448 just to make sure everything was set up correctly. And well, all the other groups work as expected. Just the "mixer" group does absolutely nothing.

If i could actually map the buttons to some midi commands it would be fine but Automap Pro only allows me to select Vol, Pan, Mute, Arm, and Solo from the dropdown.

Any ideas on how this is supposed to work?

I have just bought a Nocturn and it seems it doesnt work with ableton in such a way. there are quite a few threads on here about it. if you have Live 8 then try this thread: http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php? ... 8#p1048218

Go to the first page for a zip file which contains instructions to make it work in the way you expect it too.

What novation describe on that link is using the nocturn as a standard dumb MIDI COntroller: You need to assign all the controls yourself.

defeats the object completely for me.
