Impulse and clip settings

Post by conny » Sun Mar 13, 2005 10:11 pm

This was not obviuos for me:
When a clip in session is dragged to an Impulse slot, the settings start and end pos is regognized by Impulse. Meaning that the same sample, as different clips, with different start/end settings may be used in different Impulse slots.

yes, this is a very nice feature... people having a go at this, and want to save their work should be aware: if you take small snippets from (a) very long sample(s), be sure to consolidate/render the small pieces of audio you use. otherwise you'll end up with quite a large impulse project. (Live doesn't take the 'hits' you selected as the impulse sounds, but rather the complete file(s) you took the sounds from).
just a warning.

Yea, warning needed.
I just found that this use of clip settings goes for Simpler too.
